Lying between the Japanese islands of Shikoku and Honshū is the Seto Inland Sea, and situated in the southern part of this body of water is Kagawa prefecture’s Takamatsu city. The Seto Inland Sea stretches out before the city of Takamatsu, dotted with many islands. Each of these islands is home to its own unique natural scenery, culinary traditions and cultural heritage, a legacy of the people who inhabited and shaped these islands and their history. When we visit these island and experience for ourselves the lives of the island inhabitants, we are reminded of that which we had almost forgotten, and that which we would do well to appreciate more fully. We are on the verge of seeing many important traditions and values slowly disappear from our lives, and we must see the future of these islands as symbolic of our own future, and understand that what is happening on these islands may happen to all of us in the years to come. As we hope that our activities on these islands will help us to forge new relationships with the local people and allow us to contribute to the preservation of their valuable traditions, the Archipelago Store is proud to feature a selection of the exceptional products that these islands have to offer.

Archipelago store事業の1つとして島の販路つくり・商品開発・デザイン業務といったトータルでの島の産業のコーディネートサポートを行っております。
私達が島に通うことで知った事の1つ。
「島で暮らす」＝「島で仕事」をつくることの大切さ。
その事を少しでも自分たちが役立てる事は何かという事を考えた時に、高松に拠点を置くからこそでる販路作り・商品開発といった活動に行き着きました。
私達のできる事はささやかな事かもしれませんが丁寧に、島の「いいもの」をお届けできるよう日々取り組んでまいります。
